Gaining Women's Right to Vote
Before women had the right to vote, they had no direct voice, no way to speak up openly for themselves. Blanche learned to use her voice, her voice of art. It was a beautiful voice, and she made it loud, splashing her cartoons across newspapers all over the state, and country. She kept working on getting her voice heard. People started listening, and eventually, the 19th amendment was passed. This is Blanche's legacy, what she has left behind for generations to come, and it is a lasting legacy... the effects of the 19th amendment can still be seen today, it has given women a voice.
